Possible LG OLED Panel Supports 4K 144Hz and 1K 480Hz Dual Modes

A new 32-inch OLED gaming panel surfaced online with support for 4K 144Hz and lower-resolution 1K 480Hz modes, potentially pointing to another upcoming LG Display dual-mode panel. The screen was shown through Chinese display-focused creator “好屏如潮leohe” before spreading across enthusiast monitor discussions and hardware forums.

The panel is not attached to a finished retail monitor yet. Information shared alongside the leak points toward a supply-chain product currently being shown to monitor brands and manufacturing partners rather than a consumer-ready display.

Current dual-mode OLED gaming monitors typically pair 4K 240Hz with Full HD 480Hz modes. LG’s UltraGear 32GS95UE, for example, already follows that layout together with several newer ASUS and MSI models built around similar OLED hardware.

The newer panel takes a different approach by lowering the native 4K refresh rate to 144Hz while still keeping the faster 480Hz esports mode available at lower resolution.

The leak specifically references a “1K 480Hz” mode together with a 3.33× scaling multiplier between the two display settings.

Several discussions surrounding the leak point toward LG Display as the likely panel supplier because of the company’s existing experience with WOLED dual-mode gaming panels already shipping across the market.

Only limited specifications are currently available. Brightness levels, HDR certification, response times, DisplayPort bandwidth support, HDMI configuration, subpixel layout, and actual monitor branding all remain unknown for now.

The original source behind the leak described two business models tied to the display. One involves bulk OLED panel supply for monitor manufacturers, while the second focuses on cooperation around completed monitor products for partner brands.

Most current OLED gaming monitors in the 32-inch category still top out at either 240Hz or 360Hz depending on panel type and resolution. The newer panel adds another variation to the growing dual-mode OLED category that continues expanding across high-end gaming displays.

No monitor brand, retail product name, launch timeline, or pricing has been confirmed yet.
