Lenovo Releases ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1 With Intel Panther Lake and Up to 64GB RAM

Lenovo has updated its PSREF database with new entries for the ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1. The database now lists models for Europe, the UK, the US, and Africa, giving a full look at the hardware planned for each region.

Three Intel Panther Lake chips are listed. Buyers will see the Core Ultra 5 332, Core Ultra 5 335, and Core Ultra 7 365. The entry-level chip has six CPU cores and two Xe3 graphics cores. The other two move to eight CPU cores and four Xe3 graphics cores. Lenovo rates AI performance at up to 49 TOPS on supported models.

The tablet has a 13-inch IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 2880 × 1920 and a 3:2 aspect ratio. Brightness reaches 500 nits, colour coverage is 100% sRGB, and the refresh rate can go as high as 120Hz. The screen works with the Lenovo Slim Pen 2 for writing, drawing, document signing, and handwritten notes.

Memory starts at 16GB LPDDR5X-7467 and get up to 64GB. Storage is available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD versions through a single M.2 2242 slot. The memory is fixed to the motherboard, while the SSD can be replaced later.

Without the keyboard, the tablet weighs 890 grams. The keyboard increases the total weight to around 2.75 lbs (1.25kg). Lenovo pairs the device with a 45Wh battery and quotes up to 11 hours in the MobileMark 30 battery benchmark at 250 nits screen brightness.

The PSREF listing mentions two Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 7, optional 5G, optional NFC, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a Kensington Nano Security Slot. A 5MP front camera sits beside an IR camera and privacy shutter. The rear houses an 8MP camera for document scanning and photos. Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and dual microphones are part of the hardware.

The body measures 290 × 215 × 15.2mm and has a magnesium-aluminium frame finished in black. Lenovo lists MIL-SPEC durability, while selected versions are paired with a detachable keyboard folio and Slim Pen 2 support. Hardware options depend on the region.

Lenovo first showed the ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1 during MWC 2026. The new PSREF entries identify models for several international markets. Lenovo previously announced a starting price of €1,949 for Europe, while pricing in other regions has not yet been announced.
