AOC AGON Pro AGP497UCZD Packs a 49-Inch 240Hz QD-OLED Display

A 49-inch QD-OLED panel, a 240Hz refresh rate, and DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity form the foundation of AOC’s new AGON Pro AGP497UCZD. The monitor combines the screen space of two 27-inch QHD displays in a single panel while pairing gaming-focused hardware with creator-grade color accuracy and modern connectivity.

The display measures 48.9 inches and carries a 5120 × 1440 resolution in a 32:9 format. For users working with multiple applications, large spreadsheets, video timelines, or streaming tools, the extra horizontal space can replace a dual-monitor setup without the interruption of a center bezel.

A 240Hz refresh rate sits alongside a 0.03ms gray-to-gray response time. The combination is aimed at fast-paced games where motion clarity and responsiveness remain just as important as image quality.

The monitor is built around a QD-OLED panel containing more than 20 million self-emissive pixels. Unlike traditional LCD displays, individual pixels can switch on and off independently, producing deeper blacks and more precise contrast across the screen. AOC lists a static contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1.

An 1800R curve stretches across the entire panel. On a display of this size, the curved design helps keep the outer edges within a more comfortable viewing angle during long gaming sessions and extended workdays.

Color accuracy extends well beyond typical gaming monitor standards. AOC rates the display at 100% sRGB, 99% DCI-P3, and 98% Adobe RGB coverage. Factory calibration delivers Delta E values below 1, placing the monitor in territory usually associated with professional photo editing, digital artwork, color grading, and video production.

Brightness reaches 250 nits during SDR content, while HDR content can peak at up to 1000 nits under specific conditions. VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification is present as well.

DisplayPort 2.1 sits alongside two HDMI 2.1 ports and a USB Type-C connection with DisplayPort Alt Mode support. The USB-C connection can supply up to 90W of charging power, allowing compatible laptops to receive power, video, and data through a single cable.

A built-in KVM switch allows a single keyboard and mouse to control multiple connected devices. Users working between a gaming desktop and a laptop can switch between both machines without moving peripherals.

USB 3.2 connectivity, audio outputs, and integrated stereo speakers are part of the package. Two 8W speakers are paired with DTS Virtual:X processing for users who prefer built-in audio rather than separate desktop speakers.

Adaptive-Sync and AMD FreeSync support are available alongside low-latency settings, frame-rate counters, dark-scene controls, crosshair overlays, and gaming presets.

Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes allow two sources to remain visible on the screen at the same time. This can be useful for streaming, content creation, software development, financial trading, and other multitasking workloads.

AOC has added selectable display modes that emulate 49-inch, 27-inch, and 24.5-inch screen sizes. Competitive players who prefer a smaller active display area can switch between modes without changing monitors.

The stand supports height, tilt, and swivel adjustments. VESA 100 × 100 mounting support, a quick-release mounting mechanism, a metal headphone hook, and Light FX RGB lighting with 14 preset effects are included as well.

AOC has not announced pricing or retail availability for the AGON Pro AGP497UCZD.
