ASUS Launches ROG Godlike 27 Plus With Triple-Mode 4K, 400Hz, and 488Hz Display

ASUS announced the ROG Godlike 27 Plus during its ROG 20th Anniversary event in China. The 27-inch Fast IPS gaming monitor supports three display profiles on a single panel: 3840 × 2160 at 240Hz, 2560 × 1440 at 400Hz, and 1920 × 1080 at 488Hz. ASUS has not confirmed pricing or a retail release date.

The monitor lets users change between different resolution and refresh rate combinations without switching to another display. Native 4K mode runs at 240Hz for games that benefit from higher image detail, while the QHD profile increases the refresh rate to 400Hz. Selecting the Full HD profile raises it further to 488Hz.

The Full HD profile keeps the resolution at 1920 × 1080 even at the highest refresh rate. ASUS compared this approach with some recently announced 540Hz gaming monitors that reach their maximum refresh rate only after dropping the resolution to 1280 × 720.

ASUS has confirmed intelligent pixel enhancement technology for the display. According to the company, the feature is intended to maintain image clarity while switching between the three display profiles. The company has not shared technical details about how the processing works.

The monitor comes with Dynamic Crosshair and Dynamic Shadow Boost. Dynamic Crosshair automatically adjusts the on-screen aiming reticle according to different scenes, while Dynamic Shadow Boost changes the brightness of darker areas during gameplay.

For connectivity, ASUS has confirmed DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C. The company has not published information about HDR certification, brightness, response time, color coverage, or USB-C power delivery. Those specifications are expected to be shared closer to retail availability.

The ROG Godlike 27 Plus was introduced as part of ASUS’ ROG 20th Anniversary lineup in China. At the moment, the company has not announced regional availability outside the Chinese market or disclosed pricing for the new monitor.
