Asus’ new ROG NUC 16 Edition 20 gaming mini-PC is now available in the US and China starting at $5,999. The limited-edition desktop commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Republic of Gamers brand with a semi-transparent 3-liter chassis and gold highlights. It replaces the standard GPU configuration with Nvidia’s flagship GeForce RTX 5090 laptop graphics card.
Compared to the standard model, the Edition 20 provides roughly 18% higher gaming performance and 8 GB of additional video memory. However, the upgrade comes with a massive price premium. The new computer costs $2,200 more than the cheapest version of the regular Asus ROG NUC 16, which uses a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU.

The compact desktop has an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor, a 2 TB PCIe 5.0 SSD, and 64 GB of DDR5-6400 memory. To keep temperatures low under heavy gaming loads, the cooling setup uses an integrated vapor chamber and a dedicated SSD heatsink. It also includes a three-fan layout, which has a dedicated fan to cool the memory modules.
The total thermal power consumption for the processor and graphics card checks in at 300W. For networking, the desktop supports Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 to reduce latency in online games. The tool-free design uses thumbscrews on the front panel, allowing users to quickly access the internal storage and memory slots.
In the US, the base configuration with 64 GB of RAM starts at $5,999. In China, the same hardware configuration is priced at CNY 43,999 (around $6,469 USD). Asus also sells an upgraded version in China with 128 GB of RAM for CNY 51,999 (around $7,645 USD).
The high-end 128 GB RAM configuration is not yet listed on Asus’ US or European retail websites. The computer includes a detachable stand that supports both horizontal and vertical placement. Asus is expected to expand availability of the Edition 20 to other European markets soon.
