GIGABYTE AORUS Master 16 Showcased With Ryzen 9 and RTX 5090 at Computex 2026

The AORUS Master 16 was one of GIGABYTE’s flagship gaming laptop announcements at Computex 2026, pairing AMD’s Ryzen 9 9955HX3D with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU and a 240Hz OLED display. GIGABYTE is targeting enthusiasts with up to 230W of system power, user-upgradeable memory, and a chassis that measures just 19 mm at its thinnest point. The laptop also received a Computex 2026 Best Choice Award.

The highest-end configuration combines AMD’s Ryzen 9 9955HX3D with an RTX 5090 Laptop GPU carrying 24GB of GDDR7 memory and up to 175W Maximum Graphics Power. RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti versions are also planned.

AMD’s Ryzen 9 9955HX3D is one of the company’s fastest gaming-focused notebook processors, combining 16 Zen 5 cores, 32 threads, boost clocks up to 5.4 GHz, and 128MB of L3 cache through second-generation 3D V-Cache technology.

Up to 230W of Combined CPU and GPU Power

GIGABYTE rates the system for up to 230W in Turbo mode. The Ryzen 9 9955HX3D can operate at up to 55W, while the RTX 5090 Laptop GPU reaches up to 175W, putting the AORUS Master 16 among the highest-powered 16-inch gaming laptops announced so far.

To handle that level of power, GIGABYTE uses its updated WINDFORCE Infinity EX cooling system. The design combines a large vapor chamber, Frost Fan 2.0 technology, redesigned airflow channels, and thinner high-density fan blades intended to improve airflow efficiency during sustained workloads.

240Hz OLED Display With HDR1000 Support

The laptop uses a 16-inch OLED panel with a 2560 × 1600 resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, and response times as low as 0.2 ms. Support for AMD FreeSync Premium, Dolby Vision, Pantone Validation, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000, and VESA ClearMR 10000 is included. The display also covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and reaches up to 1000 nits peak brightness in HDR content.

GIGABYTE also includes a hardware MUX switch, allowing the GeForce GPU to connect directly to the display when maximum gaming performance is required.

Upgradeable Memory and Dual M.2 Storage

Two DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM slots support up to 64GB of memory and leave room for future upgrades. Storage is handled through one PCIe Gen5 M.2 slot and one PCIe Gen4 M.2 slot, with capacities reaching up to 4TB depending on configuration.

Connectivity, Audio, and Battery

HDMI 2.1, USB4 with DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery 3.0, USB-C with DisplayPort 2.0 support, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet, a UHS-II microSD card reader, and a 3.5 mm audio combo jack are all included. Wireless connectivity is provided through Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

A 99Wh battery is paired with a 330W power adapter. GIGABYTE says fast charging can restore the battery to 50% capacity in about 30 minutes under supported conditions.

An FHD IR webcam with Windows Hello facial recognition support is built into the display bezel.

A four-speaker system with Dolby Atmos and Smart Amp technology handles audio duties for gaming, media playback, and voice communication.

GIGABYTE’s GiMATE AI platform is included as well, offering automated system tuning together with creator-focused AI tools designed for local AI workloads and image-generation tasks.

The chassis measures 357.2 × 255.3 mm and weighs about 5.07 lbs (2.3 kg).

GIGABYTE has not announced pricing yet. Availability will vary by region and GPU configuration.
