GMKtec’s new G5S mini PC is now available in China with a starting price of 1,149 yuan (around $169). The palm-sized desktop measures 72 × 72 × 44.5 mm and features Intel’s Celeron N5095 processor, 8GB of LPDDR4 memory, an M.2 2242 SSD slot, and active cooling inside its compact chassis.
The G5S weighs about 206 grams, making it small enough to fit behind a monitor, on a crowded desk, or in other space-limited locations. Its compact footprint makes it suitable for home offices, classrooms, retail counters, digital signage, and other environments where a full-size desktop would take up unnecessary space.
Power comes from Intel’s Celeron N5095, a quad-core Jasper Lake processor introduced in 2021. GMKtec pairs the chip with a copper heat pipe and a low-noise cooling fan, allowing it to operate with a 10W power profile. The processor is intended for everyday workloads such as web browsing, office documents, online learning, video playback, and light multitasking.
The mini PC comes with 8GB of onboard LPDDR4 memory. While the memory is fixed, storage remains upgradeable through an M.2 2242 SSD slot. Buyers can choose between 128GB and 256GB SSD configurations currently offered in China.
The front and rear panels provide three USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI 2.0, and a 3.5mm audio jack. This selection allows the G5S to connect to common accessories, wired networks, external storage, and a monitor without requiring extra adapters.

Its small size makes installation simple in places where larger desktops are impractical. The G5S can sit behind a display, beside a television, or on a small office desk while keeping cables and peripherals within easy reach.
Pricing starts at 1,149 yuan for the 128GB model, while the 256GB version is listed at 1,849 yuan in China. GMKtec has not shared details about international availability or pricing.
The G5S expands GMKtec’s range of compact desktops with upgradeable storage, active cooling, and a small footprint that fits into a wide variety of work and home environments.
