Microsoft Surface Pro for Business Updated With Intel Core Ultra Series 2 and OLED Display

Microsoft is bringing Intel’s latest Lunar Lake chips to the Surface Pro for Business lineup, giving the 13-inch detachable a mix of newer AI hardware, Wi-Fi 7 support, and an optional OLED display.

This version is aimed more at companies and enterprise users than the Snapdragon-based Surface Pro models launched earlier. Businesses that still depend on older Windows software, x86 apps, or Intel vPro management tools are likely the main target here.

Configurations include Intel Core Ultra 5 236V, Ultra 5 238V, Ultra 7 266V, and Ultra 7 268V processors. Higher-end models are rated for up to 48 TOPS of AI performance through Intel AI Boost NPUs, while lower versions reach 40 TOPS. Intel Arc graphics are built in across the lineup, alongside either 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5X memory.

Storage goes up to 1TB using removable PCIe Gen4 SSDs. Microsoft is also continuing its repairability push, with official service support covering parts such as the SSD, battery, thermal system, cameras, and display assembly.

The overall design stays close to earlier Surface Pro models. A built-in kickstand remains part of the chassis and supports movement up to 165 degrees. Weight starts at around 1.92 lbs (872 g) without the keyboard attached, while thickness measures 0.37 inches (9.3 mm).

Microsoft is still using its 13-inch PixelSense Flow display with a 2880 × 1920 resolution and refresh rates up to 120Hz. Buyers can choose between LCD and OLED versions this time. The OLED panel reaches up to 900 nits brightness in HDR mode and 600 nits in standard SDR use. Dolby Vision IQ and adaptive color support are also included.

Battery life estimates are higher than older Intel-based Surface Pro generations. Microsoft lists up to 14 hours of local video playback and up to 10 hours of active web use under internal testing conditions. Charging works through USB-C or Surface Connect adapters with at least 60W output.

A 1440p Quad HD Surface Studio camera handles video calls and Windows Studio Effects features such as portrait blur, eye contact correction, and automatic framing. The rear camera uses a 10MP Ultra HD sensor.

Port selection remains simple with two USB-C ports supporting USB4 and Thunderbolt 4. External display support reaches up to two 4K monitors, while wireless connectivity moves to Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

Security features include TPM 2.0, Microsoft Pluton, NFC authentication, Windows Hello facial recognition, and optional Intel vPro support on selected models.

Parts of the chassis use recycled aluminum and recycled rare earth materials, while packaging shifts further toward recycled fiber-based materials.

The Surface Pro for Business Copilot+ PC bundle starts at $1,699.99 in the US.
