Samsung Galaxy S24 Design and Build Quality
This Galaxy S24 from Samsung is compact, lightweight, and undeniably attractive. Its design is very clean and neat; it does not look like any nonsense, which makes one like it as soon as one sees it. It has nicely designed edges with a flat matte frame that feels fresh and new in the hand. This time, Samsung has launched it in cobalt violet, amber yellow, onyx black, and marble gray colors, in which marble gray looks very nice and premium. Apart from these colors, there is also the option of unique colors like Sapphire Blue, Jade Green, and Sandstone Orange, which are available on Samsung’s official website.
It has a new LTPO OLED screen with thin bezels and a slightly larger panel in the same footprint. It has a selfie camera in the punch-hole around the top. The back of the phone sports a fresh amber-yellow color and a vertically aligned triple camera setup with jutting-out metal rings that serve as lens housings. The phone frame, which is grippy and pocket-friendly, is designed for comfort. Despite packing a larger screen, Samsung managed to keep the phone’s size manageable, with a 6.2-inch display for the Galaxy S24.
Its construction has been improved over the previous S23, while the display panel still uses Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Its frame is made of aluminum, which makes the phone feel quite strong and reduces the chances of getting scratched if it falls. The phone is IP68-rated, which has good dust and water resistance, keeping it safe even after being immersed in 1.5-meter-deep clean water for 30 minutes.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Camera
The Samsung Galaxy S24 retains the same camera hardware as its predecessor, including a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 3x telephoto zoom. However, its software has improved, resulting in better photo quality. Especially in low-light conditions.
When taken with its 50MP primary camera, the photos show vibrant colors, accurate white balance, and good dynamic range. When zooming 2x in low light conditions, the camera now uses lossless cropping from the centre of the sensor, improving photo quality compared to the previous S23 series.
Its Portrait mode now includes foreground blur, which adds a nice touch to photos. There’s no dedicated 2x zoom level on its primary camera, although pinching or using the 2x button is an option. Also, Night Mode makes changes to highlight restoration and shadow boost, which sometimes results in the flattening of textures.
The 3x telephoto also performs well, maintaining detail in photos and providing slightly different characters with better contrast. It’s good for zoomed-in shots with good information. It has improved noise reduction compared to the S23’s telephoto. The telephoto camera’s performance at night isn’t much better, with noticeable noise in darker areas, especially at 1:1 zoom. Also, there is slightly less dynamic range in highlights compared to the S23’s telephoto.
The ultrawide camera has improved noise reduction, producing finer grain and sharper photos. Its dynamic range is commendable, providing well-balanced exposures in various lighting conditions. Photo mode is noisy at night, although Night Mode helps reduce noise.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Display
The display of the Samsung Galaxy S24 is fantastic. Its size is 6.2 inches, which supports Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X screen. It is a significant upgrade from the predecessor S23. Its bezels are thin, which makes the display appear larger. The dynamic refresh rate of the display is 120Hz, which provides smooth transitions and better responsiveness.
While the display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, like the previous S23, its maximum brightness is 2,600 nits, so there is no problem when using it in different lighting conditions.
Its LTPO display supports two motion smoothness modes: Adaptive and Standard. Its Adaptive Mode automatically adjusts the refresh rate, reaching up to 120Hz for dynamic and fast-paced interactions, while conserving energy by dialing down to 24Hz during static moments. Standard mode, on the other hand, maintains a steady refresh rate of 24Hz, 30Hz, or 60Hz for longer battery life while catering to different preferences.
The ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor is provided on its display, which is fast and accurate unlocking.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Battery
It has a new chipset, and the combination of its advanced display and optimized software results in excellent battery life. With a 4,000 mAh battery capacity, it lasts a whole day comfortably with everyday use.
It supports 25W fast wired charging, which is not much, but it still charges the phone quickly. It charges 29% in 15 minutes, 59% in 30 minutes, and up to complete 100% in 75 minutes. Apart from this, it supports 15W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. Plus, the inclusion of its Battery Protection Mode lets you customize it to your charging preferences with options like Basic, Adaptive, and Maximum behavior.
